Successful 6 Year Retailer Adds Another Catapult POS Terminal, Integrated Credit & Debit, & Self Hosted Gift Card

 

Le Chef Complet opened it’s doors in 2001 down in the bustling, trendy Burlington waterfront district. As Le Chef has matured and developed a clientele, their unique needs have also matured, and in October Le Chef Complet added another cash register to their system to assist with the additional customer traffic that the upcoming Christmas season would bring. At the same time, Le Chef Complet upgraded their software to the newest version, opening up two new options: integrated high-speed credit and debit and self-hosted gift card. 

 

In December, Le Chef Complet launched both integrated high-speed credit & debit, utilizing the high-speed DSL internet connection they already had. This enhancement to their Catapult investment improved transaction times from 30 seconds (dial up) to 3-6 seconds (high-speed). Increases in credit & debit transaction times translate directly to better customer service and higher throughput at the cash register. In addition, Le Chef Complet launched their own gift card using Catapult's built-in gift card system. Within the first 10 minutes of having the gift card system online, they sold $200 in cards.

 

This is not the first time Le Chef has wisely reinvested in their point-of-sale system. In 2004, after locating in a new larger location, invested in a back office management system and Web Cat, the wireless Catapult inventory hand held terminal (HHT), to assist with the expanded inventory. The constant innovation of the Catapult retail system, and the willingness of Le Chef Complet to adopt those innovations, has proven to be a sure recipe for success.
