Armagh Receives Certificate of Excellence from Toronto Construction Association
Toronto, Ontario: Eastern Construction Company Ltd., was recently awarded the Toronto Construction Association's "Best of the Best" Award for Project Achievement (Projects Exceeding $10 Million), for their work on Project Grand Jeté -- the National Ballet School of Canada.
Armagh Cash Register Ltd., lended their expertise to the project in the provision of the new school's cafeteria point-of-sale (POS) system, located in the spacious Celia Franca Centre. Catapult retail software and Toshiba TEC ST-70 touchscreen terminal was deployed in their school cafeteria complete with declining balance "meal plan" cards, scanning, multi-store functionality, and high-speed integrated credit & debit via IP. The system allows real time sales reporting, on-the-fly menu changes, cashier balance tracking, and remote campus management of the system with Catapult's sophisticated multi-store module.
 Project Grand Jeté is the National Ballet School’s (NBS) $100 million capital expansion project to develop state-of-the-art dance training, academic and residence facilities to match the quality of NBS’s world class training programs. This ambitious project integrates new, adaptive reuse and restored heritage structures on two sites to create a distinctive urban campus for NBS. The project was planned to be completed in two stages: Stage 1 of the project is the $75 Million building construction at the Jarvis Street Campus, encompasses the easterly portion of the former CBC lands south of Maitland Street, Toronto, where the new school cafeteria is located.
